Are You Eligible?
As the surviving dependant, you may be eligible for these benefits if:
A workers’ compensation claim is approved by the appropriate provincial workers’ compensation board that has determined that the death of the employee is duty related. This means that the employee was killed because of an act of violence unlawfully committed by another person or persons. The incident must have occurred during, or as a result of, the employee’s work.
