The Government of Canada announces the coming into force of the Agreement on Social Security between Canada and Poland

Toronto, Ontario, October 15, 2009—The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, accompanied by the Honourable Peter Kent, Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Americas), announced the coming into force of an Agreement that will help people who have lived or worked in both Canada and Poland to qualify for old age, retirement, disability or survivor benefits from both countries.
